| Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is a particularly promising technique for the resolution of troubled emotion developed over the last 25 years by Dr. Roger Callahan PhD, and introduced into the UK in 1996. Many thousands of practitioners worldwide report unprecedented results in the rapid and gentle treatment of most psychological problems including anxiety, depression, phobias, acute psychological trauma, PTSD, OCD, addictions, irrational or intrusive emotion, and much more. TFT is currently the only intervention of its kind to have had its efficacy objectively proven using Heart Rate Variability analyses, and has also undergone clinical outcome trials within two NHS Primary Care Trusts with significantly positive results. In October 2001, Dr. Shkelzen Syla, Chief of Staff with authority over all medical decisions in Kosova, officially adopted Thought Field Therapy as the treatment of choice for those with post-traumatic stress disorder in the region. This followed a supervised clinical trial in which he confirmed a 100% success rate with his most difficult war traumatised patients. More recently, Paul McKenna has added TFT to his therapeutic toolbox, demonstrating its speed and effectiveness in his Sky One TV Series "I Can Change Your Life" and "Paul McKenna Can Make You Thin". Paul commented when he introduced TFT to his audience, "When I first discovered this technique I was little bit annoyed because I had spent years learning how to help people change through various psychological techniques - and apparently all you do is finger tap a few points on the body and you feel better! But I've got to tell you - it absolutely works!" Within any therapeutic discipline TFT has considerable potential to bring about a substantial increase in the number of patients presenting with psychological problems who are successfully treated on first-time contact, with a consequent and equally significant reduction in practitioner stress. Treatment times may be as little as 10 minutes and success rates (defined as complete absence of presenting symptoms) as high as 80% at even the most basic level of training. This Association of Thought Field Therapy (ATFT) approved course will provide you with all the information you will need to use TFT with family, friends or clinically, within the limits of your existing practice or profession. On successful completion of the course and a brief case study assessment you will receive an ATFT endorsed certificate, together with 12 months supervision and support inclusive of Associate Membership of the British Thought Field Therapy Association (BTFTA). You will also be eligible for a free listing on the "Thought Field Therapy in the UK" website. There is no requirement to study further. However, if you wish to extend your skills by completion of an additional two days of specialist workshops, you can then be certified as an Approved Algorithm Practitioner, with Full Membership of the BTFTA (inclusive of ATFT and British Complementary Medicine Association Memberships). Details of this optional programme will be provided to all trainees. The standard fee for this course is £425 inclusive of tuition, text book, 3 manuals, practitioner start-up pack, 2 videotapes, lunch and refreshments. For your convenience the fee may be paid in six instalments if desired. Concessions are available to the unwaged, students and bona fide workers within non-profit aid organisations - please telephone or e-mail for details prior to application.
