| Its also fair to point out that its a very heavily moderated group Also although there are theoretically many members, few are active posters on a daily basis. | Nick is entitled to his views. Here are some views from other people too: "There aren't many forums where you can discuss ideas with the best and nicest people in the world of NLP, and there aren't many places where you can easily find practise partners who live locally. To find both facilities within one website is fantastic, and that's why I highly recommend NLP Connections." - Doug O'Brien, International NLP trainer and coach "NLP Connections brings together some of the best people in NLP. A wonderful resource for people to get more experienced." - Graham Constantine "I joined NLP Connections straight after doing my practitioner course and I can honestly say it has been an interesting journey. At first I was overwhelmed by the knowledge of other people posting here and felt a bit stupid at times; then I read the material others recommended, devoured the website links posted and now I am feeling way more confident in my ability to help myself and others, and I'm looking forwards to starting my own business sometime next year. Without NLP Connections, I do not think the transition would have been as smooth." - Penny Hopper "I have learnt loads from the posts on NLP Connections, from the links to useful websites, from the free seminars and directly from the people I have met by being on the site. What is fantastic for me is how well the network has worked. I have made friends with people that I hallucinate I never would have come across but for the site." - Carl Legge "I appreciate the high quality of the site, the forum, the people here, and love that the level of discussion (unlike on some forums) usually remains exceptionally high." - Jonathan Altfeld, International NLP trainer and author of 'Finding Your Irresistible Voice' "I love NLP connections. It brings together a whole lot of passionate, interesting and intelligent NLPers and lets them learn from one another. It's easy to use, has an active membership and a friendly, informal and convivial atmosphere." - Phil Mattingly "NLP Connections provides an invaluable networking and ideas-sharing resource to the NLP Community. I can recommend this forum to new, practising NLPers and trainers alike." - Chris Thomas "NLP Connections is a great way to share experiences, seek support and just generally stay in touch with other NLP'ers." - Nigel Johnson "NLP Connections allows me to share ideas, thoughts and innovations with fellow trainers, practitioners and NLP enthusiasts. This unique community is now my favourite place to discuss all things NLP!" - Marc Hogan - Creator of S.T.E.A.L.T.H. "NLP Connections is a lively forum were views, ideas and real practitioner experiences are shared in an open and supportive environment. I have personally had some real gems from this resource" - Tony Nutley "NLP Connections is a friendly, informal place to meet up with other NLPers. I use it a lot." - Elizabeth M Pritchard "NLP Connections is an amazing website where NLPers can discuss ideas, ask questions, and get answers on many subjects within NLP. As a trainer i know how important it is to communicate - and NLP Connections does just that!" - Joseph Clough "I love this site... after 10 years of practising Hypnotherapy "in the dark", this site has been an 'enlightening' experience." - Peter Walsh "NLP Connections has attracted some of the biggest names in NLP and I am sure will prove to be a major asset to the creative collaborations occurring within the NLP community." - Andrew Austin There are more testimonials on the site too... www.nlpconnections.com |

| Its important to remember than many of these comments were made some time ago and all before the forum was supposedly "hacked" and many members sent gay porn messages! At one time even I gave the site a favourable testimonial, but would now recommend other facilities more concerned with professional discussion of NLP rather than a "Friend's Reunited" style chatroom, which is fine for some folks and I do recommend people check out some of the current threads there of which I have recieved e-mails voicing concern about the quality of advice given... Ultimately with the rise and decline of all such online facilities, people vote with their feet and of course as I have mentioned a number of my students were concerned about their security of private information previously submitted... Finally its logical that Chris as the current owner of the site would want as many people as possible to subscribe and join his facility, especially as some of those providing favourable testimonials have had the site owner send thousands of unsolicited e-mails promoting their courses and events to those who had subscribed! <grin> I'm not saying don't bother with checking it out, but simply feeding back comments made to me by others who have frequented there and who no longer post for reasons mentioned! lol Nick Kemp www.nickkemp.com On Nov 23, 10:43 am, "NLP Connections" <i...@removethis.nlpconnections.com> wrote: > Nick is entitled to his views. | PS Recently members have also noted that "private messages" sent from the facility are not truly private... Discussion about anything is discussion from all points of view, good or bad, if all your actually looking for is someone to blow smoke up your ass may I suggest www.blowsmokeupyourass.com Discussions, real discussions are not about voiding the issues but what works well, what works sometimes and what doesn't work. e.g...I had three different EFT practioners try to use EFT on me, I remained neutral as I could to observe but followed their instructions to the letters, each time was with something different I wanted to work on. All three times there was no results, the evidence presented to me from these three people was from the results were A. They were totally incompetent. ( actually they followed the process rightly ) B. It doesn't work as well as the EFT people claim it does or C. EFT is just another placebo discipline. D. All of the above. But you see you want to just continue to believe that eft or other disciplines are fine in and of themselves, without asking the hard questions. You want to believe that no one out there is actually dishonest and will not promote products that don't work, so they can line their pockets with gold coin. So if you don't want to know the truth about things, then keep your head up your ass, and never challenge your beliefs or assumtions, and just believe everything is fine in spite of the over whelming evidence presented to you. > > "Poor me I just post here and the personal attacks start.....etc." Well yeah that is actually how it starts thanks for making that clear. > "I knew this wouldn't work" > "You are all just a bunch or Bandler arse monkeys" Wells some of you are, some of you are just assholes with no life, some of you really want something different that works. > HellBwat > > -- > John |

| That is because you see everything in a negative vein of light, everything you write contributes to nothing but a negative side, you must have a really shitty life, why don't you use nlp to fix that...if you actually can or will there just be more negative whining because you just don't like me or complain because you've driven everyone else in your life off and have on one to complain about or any one who will listen. Sad, Sad, Sad. These are not complaints but observations based on MY (and all that might mean) experience of your posts here and your most recent reply. You really will have to tighten up on your comprehension if you are going off to play with the big boys. Tom tried this and within about 3 posts managed to put people's backs up, and these were individuals who had no prior knowledge of his behaviour in this group. I can't imagine you will fair any better based on your approach here. ">I'm looking forward to some intelligent interactions about NLP! As am I, I'll leave my rude comments on the other list. | Hi Tom I am pretty busy recording for the BBC, running a host of events and hosting other trainers (this week we host Doug O Brien) through TCNLP running Frank Farrelly's site (www.provocativetherapy.com) and a number of other PT resources (www.provocativetherapy.info, www.provocativechangeworks.com, recording new products, running www.nlpmp3.com, doing corporate work through www.psconsultancy.biz, working with the educational sector with NLP, arranging the Human Alchemy events (www.human-alchemy.net) and running TCNLP's own intranet www.talkingnlp.com, but thanks for the thought and unfortunately there really is no time for whining or other such luxuries I am delighted that you have found a forum that you feel at home with and hope things work out for you. | For those who don't know -- Nick Kemp used to be a regular on NLP Connections until he was caught using 'sockpuppets' to promote his own courses and was asked to leave. He has a habit of doing that sort of thing (he was caught doing it on this newsgroup a while ago too -- see: http://tinyurl.com/y2gkr2) and I think he's become a laughing stock within the NLP community as a result. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Nowadays, Nick spends a lot of his time following me around and spreading lies about NLP Connections. Apparently he never liked us anyway, and we all smell. So ner. ![]() I don't think anybody comes out of altercations on the internet looking good, so I am not going to engage with him post-by-post. I'll just send this one message when it's relevant, and people can choose to read his comments in context, if they want. One of the things Nick likes to say is that NLP Connections is heavily moderated. We have a transparent moderation log, www.nlpconnections.com/moderation-log, so you can see for yourself how little moderation goes on. Some moderation is needed to filter out spam and stuff, and most people think that's a good thing. When Nick was a member, he spammed the forum a lot -- so he probably has a different experience of moderation to most people. Another story is that personal data won't be safe since somebody once tried to hack our database. It's odd that only Nick keeps mentioning this (endlessly) because many people believe it was him who did it! Coincidence? Either way, the hacker *failed* to get any personal data and our database remains secure. Yes, some e-mail spoofs were sent out in our name and that was embarrassing for a while -- but the fact is that 1,000+ people still log on to NLP Connections every week, and it's only Nick who is trying to reinvent a scandal that never was. I see he's now creating false accounts in my boyfriend's name and claims that's a clue to something. If the secret is that I'm bisexual, it's a pretty badly kept secret. Maybe Nick needs to lighten up a bit, or at least think about his hero Richard Bandler's words: "Freedom is everything, and love is all the rest". He could also take some advice from his business partner, Tina Taylor -- she continues to use NLP Connections regularly and proactively promotes their joint events on the forum. I guess *she* doesn't share his ostentatious concerns about moderation or privacy or whatever else. Of course, I don't think Nick believes half of what he writes either. I think he just creates a fuss to get his name known in the industry. Better to be thought of as the village idiot than not to be thought of at all? Sad. NLP Connections has more than 2,500 members in 66 countries around the world. More than 1,000 people have logged in over the last seven days and we host more messages than any other NLP forum that I know of. Hundreds of people have told me personally that they've made new friends, found practice partners, learnt new things and saved lots of time and money by being part of our community. I'm very proud of what we've achieved together. It's all free. If you are the type of person who checks things out for yourself before deciding what you think for yourself, you'll find the site at www.nlpconnections.com. Merry Christmas! Chris Morris |

I guess that explains everything. You have to compliment yourself when no one else will. Nick does continue to hurt what small reputation he had. Even that reputation is not in doubt because you can't tell if enyone real has ever complimented him. Even in his latest Ad for a seminar he has testimonial but no names on them. It makes you wonder if they are made up as well. Damn shame to see another supposed trainer fall apart publicly. |
