Hello There,

I have been forwarded messages from the "Hypnotherapist Register"
Yahoo Newsgroup involving a thread where my names of Alex Smith and
previous name of Jonathan Royle have appeared.

Further the name of ANDREW NEWTON has been involved in these
discussion's and also one of the people to comment was Terrence Watts
and thats why I am posting all this here.

As I presume the email I sent to the "hypnotherapist register" group
will never appear, I am emailing you this so that

A) You have a more genuine insight into things and also so that b) You
might be so kind as to post the below on my behalf to the group which
then truly will help to set the record straight.

PS: I am sorry for the length of this posting, but this is necessary
so that you can see the EVIDENCE which illustrates the TRUTH.

THIS WAS FIRST MESSAGE TO HYPNOTORIOUS GROUP

Below is a copy and paste of an email I have just sent to the
Hypnotherapy Register list, I post it here as it may not get approved
there by the moderator and I feel the record should be set straight
on a few things....

Oh and the induction (which Tom Bolton taught delegates as detailed
below) is briefly as follows:

01) He got a person to sit in a chair, hands upturned on their lap,
feet so they are lifted up roughly at 45% in air off the ground
(ankels on ground) and had them tilt there head back.

02) They were told to close their eye's, breathe in deeply etc and
then Tom rotated their head to the side and down onto their chest.

03) He then touched their shoulders lightly and told them to relax
and slump their shoulders forward.

04) Next he told them to let there body go limp and loose leaning
forward like a banana and as if their spine had gone floppy like
rubber.

05) He then moved their hands off their lap so they were no longer
upturned and so it helped move them into a fetal type position - as
this occured his
own shoulder gently helped push against the back of volunteers
shoulder thus encouraging them
to slump forward in their chair..

06) He then told them to relax feet flat onto ground.

07) they were then told to open their eyes and on a scale of 1 to 10
it was found they felt much more relaxed than when they did the scale
of 1 to 10 to start with and this was the convincer prior to going
through the procedure again which took around 60 seconds and placed
the volunteer back into a profound state of hypnosis.

Indeed none of the components of the above are at all original,
however it was TOM BOLTON'S (as I understand) GENIUS to combine all
of the above elements (I may have the order slightly wrong but the
principle is same) in otherwords as witnessed by me and others
including Andrew Newton, This was and is Tom Boltons creation..

All will make sense when you read on, oh and for the record I
demonstrated this induction (as detailed above) in great detail
CREDITING its creator TOM BOLTON at my Torquay Seminar..

Hello There,

it's Alex Smith here (formerly Jonathan Royle) - as no doubt you may
now know I have been contacted by Kevin Hogan and am
awaiting a reply, but have removed any mention of him from my MySpace
blog as it is possible I may have got confused and mixed him up

with another Marketeer of Hypnosis style products who is involved in
the same "masters of passive income" project as me....

Anyhow I notice that Terrence Watts seems to want to stick his nose
in and feel that a few facts should be made clear as follows:

DETAILS REGARDING TERRENCE WATTS,

Oh and with the greatest of respect and for information only regards
APHP,..

The Association of Professional Hypnotherapists and Parapsychologists
(APHP) was set up by a one Brian Howard of Warrington around 1989 ish
long before Terrence Watts ever used those letters..

Further I was granted permission by Brian Howard to use these letters
(APHP) and have done so for many years since around 1993 when I made
(with Brians Permission) the change to Association of Professional
Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (still APHP) which as I
understand it is long before Terrence Watts did.

Further We have on file details of an order made by Terrence Watts of
Essex around the mid 90's for my mail order hypnotherapy training
course which contained mention of APHP for which I was given
permission by Brian Howard.

Records show that only after purchasing this course from Prospect
House Publishing did Terrence Watts register the trademark on APHP.

Therefore as the Trademark laws state I technically had/have legal
grounds to have his trademark removed as I can prove longterm useage
of APHP by both me and Brian Howard long before Terrence registered
it and in the purpose of supplying hypnotherapy training and support,
however I am not that petty.

Despite the above facts Terrence Watts once had the audacity to
threaten me with legal action and denied (despite the proof on file)
that he had ever ordered anything from me (despite the fact it was
paid for by him and sent to his address in Essex.)

I mention this only so that you are aware things are not always what
they seem.

Oh and regards ANDREW NEWTON (hypnoman.com)

Yes I did promote his first ever UK Hypnosis Two Day Training seminar
in Manchester and also another event in Birmingham...

Yes I have since fallen out with him, due to his stabbing me in the
back and actions of spreading untrue rumours about me...

He has also made INCORRECT statements about me in his book "All In
The Mind" - for example I have never been inside Wakefield

Prison and have never sent a "sex hypnosis tape" to Channel 5,
perhaps he should have done his research right?

Further in his book "All in The Mind" and also on his "Rapid
Induction" DVD he describes what he calls The Andrew Newton

Induction, which in truth I believe is an induction which was devised
by Tom Bolton the creator of Freeway-Cer, it certainly bears an

extremely uncanny resemblence - lol..

Indeed Andrew Newton was present (along with me) at a Freeway-Cer
event in Birmingham and witnessed Tom Bolton

present and exaplin this inudction long before (several years)
writing or releasing his book and making the dvd which he

now markets and claims to be his own innovation.

The weekend just gone I demonstrated Tom Boltons induction to my
delegates at my Torquay seminar and present

at the event were people who were also at the Tom Bolton course
several years ago in Birmingham who witnessed

Andrew Newton being there as he witnessed Tom demonstrate and explain
the components which are now being

claimed as "The Andrew Newton Induction"

Further one of these people at my Torquay event (along with several
other people with whom I still am in contact) who were

present at The Birmingham event witnessed Andrew Newton admitting
whilst slightly under the influence of alchohol that he had in

the past attemped to hire the services of someone to have me
seriously "done over".

Indeed I am led to understand that the only reason this did not occur
is because the person he approached turned out to

be the son of one of my dads friends from his school days hence such
action was avoided!

You may also be interested to learn that the video filmed in Wales
which Newton claims (in his book All In The Mind) was an experiment
in how

easy it would be to get people to "pretend" to be under hypnosis was
in fact a serious (but failed) attempt by Newton to film Street
Hypnosis.

The truth is (and I have video evidence on file) that Newton was
unable to hypnotise anyone rapidly or indeed at all on the street and
as such

I had to do the suggestibilty tests and get the people to be
complient before we filmed the bits with Newton!

Whats more on another occasion of another Birmingham seminar Newton
(again having had a little to drink) ended up appearing on

Kerrang Radio after offering to be hypnotised by me, which I did and
I have photos, audio recording and video evidence to prove that
Newton

was a very reactive and comical hypnosis subject... yes I hypnotised
the so called man who taught Paul Mckenna on Kerrange Radio

on Tim Shaws Asylum show and this was witnessed by many people who I
am still in contact with.

Oh and before Newton see's this and points out that I detailed his
onstage opening patter script in one of my books, I have witnesses

(again from the Birmingham Seminar) who can confirm that Newton gave
me permission to print this on condition that he was credited with

creating it, which indeed I did credit him! - Shame he did not credit
Tom Bolton with his induction!

Oh and as a matter of interest since reading his book "All In The
Mind" numerous people have contacted me and stated that in their

opinion and observation much of the premise and some of the contents
of Newtons book are clearly based on my "Theres No Such Thing

As Hypnosis" DVDS, which is quite ironic given that after his first
BORING Manchester Seminar (which got many complaints including one

person walking out and another having to be refunded) I gave Newton a
set of these DVDS to give him an idea of how to run a seminar

properly and to illustrate what sort of content would actually
interest delegates, make of that what you will.

Its also strange that for years I have stated that "There's no such
thing as hypnosis - in fact there is only suggestion" and recently
Newton

has taken to using this phrase in his book and other places!

I could go on and on, but I don't want to be as petty as Newton who
many of my colleagues (after reading Newtons book) have

stated comes across as a deeply disturbed indivdual with a scary and
twisted fascination for slagging of Paul Mckenna and well

slagging off everyone to be honest, (as those who have read his book
will testify).

Sadly there are numerous errors, inaccuracies in Newtons book and it
is clear to anyone who knows the truth that

several alledged "facts" have clearly not been researched correctly
before publication.

For the record I am publishing this here only to set the record
straight on a few things and in the hope that

anyone wishing to learn the induction Newton claims as his own will
actually choose to learn from an AUTHORISED source

by way of contacting me on jonathan@royle2898.fsnet.co.uk as I shall
soon be negotiating with Tom Bolton to release my audio,

video and written training of this excellent method.

THIS IS A REPLY TO IT BY ANTHONY JACQUIN

I did some training with Andrew Newton a few years ago. He
demonstrated the induction you describe then and referred to it as the
Jacobson Induction or technique. Jacobson was of course the man that
coined the term 'progressive relaxation' back in the 1920's.

I have been teaching the "Jacobsens" facing forward and from behind
inductions on DVD for several years now!

I am aware of what Newton was teaching under this name and indeed have
video footage on file of him doing so at a seminar which I promoted
for
him when he first started doing events, however there are subtle
diffrences in what he teaches now and what it was then and these
differences are most defintiely (in my opinion) those Newton would
have
witnessed Tom Bolton using as he demonstrated his method and style of
this induction.

Either way it further illustrates that the statement in Newtons book
that he originated this induction is rubbish,

Indeed his embryo version (much improved after seeing Tom Bolton) was
attributed to having seen Peter Casson use it many times, this he
stated during the seminar which I promoted and which we filmed and
have
on file as evidence.

Its ironic that Newton slags Mckenna off for "stealing" his act in his
book and then gos on to claim others works as his own.

Buy from the originator and not the imitator, or at least from those
who credit their sources as I always do and indeed Tom Bolton always
has and always will.

forward to turn their hands you nudge their shoulder with your chest
encouraging them to slump forward.

Hi Everyone

It seems that Andrew has improved his style after observing just one
or two
procedures that we used at our first special fast track one day
FREEWAY-CER
seminar in 2004 which he attended and maybe milking some parts of
them.
However we ourselves have no direct evidence of this. He did ask us at
the
seminar in 2004 could he use the CALM Routine and demonstrate it and
we told
him that he, like anyone else we teach, can use it to benefit others.
However its unlikely that he would gain anything from stealing
anything, and
we are not sure he did so we have no worries about this matter.
It would also probably benefit him more if he had attributed anything
he
adapted to us because in that way it would then benefit others.

A master once told me that the purity and profundity of a technique is
only
as powerful as the empowerment through love- the gift given to it by
its
originator and that is why in the East there is much emphasis on
lineage
attribution and the power that is inherited by those who don't forget
to do
this. So people who copy others without proper training, permission of
use, and without attribution to the originator can mimic or model the
surface level/s of a technique, which although in the case of
inductions,
can often be effective for getting people relaxed and into trance like
states, fails to give the degree of inner peace or extended healing
that
is achievable when observing the respect of attribution to the teacher/
s.

I and Bev use many secret healing procedures in our work not just one
induction. In 1998 our first book was published 'Vibrations for Health
and
Happiness'. We were invited by Waterstones to conduct workshops in
Liverpool, Birkenhead and Wrexham Bookstores and we used some of the
Ancient
techniques trance induction and other silent procedures and those who
attended and who we have met since are still talking about the healing
they
experiences. You see its not the outer technique that matters its
something extra that we add that make things magical and as yet much
of the
covert secrets are still with us.

If you ask some of the people that we personally have used the CALM
routine
with, how they felt afterwards, you will find that they felt like they
had
never felt before. If you ask some about the special breathing
techniques
that are part of FREEWAY-CER the effects they felt they will no doubt
explain that it was something that was totally unexpected. If you ask
those we did a healing with on our 2005 FREEWAY-CER unfilmed seminar
what
happened you will find that some had amazing results and some of these
lasted for a while. For those who were in tune with us on that day and
experienced immediate relief, they could have had sustained healing;
however in many cases, those healed who later instead of getting on
with
their lives and living in the present might have looked back into
their past
and doubted the healing. In cases like this they can undo the inner
healing
that they had achieved.
When we teach our students to become freewaycer practitioners they
will then
have our blessing, good will and help to ensure that what they use is
very
effective, however for their benefit we ask that they attribute us as
the
teachers of FREEWAYCER.

We advise that you all don't worry anymore about this matter instead
spend
your lives being more attentive to living in the moment and doing good
to
all around you including your loved ones, your environment and most of
all
those who you find awkward to get on with or feel uncomfortable with
when
face to face, such people reflect something within us all that we need
to
address, and are our finest teachers.
